The Friends of the Shepherd Public Library is
a non-profit organization that works together with the Library
to provide different services. The Friends give financial support, volunteer
support and even become a
hospitality committee when necessary! The Friends group raised the money in the
80's to buy the building
where the Library is today and has continued to provide support over the years.
The Friends always need people that love the
Library to join their ranks and help make Shepherd Public Library
the best it can be. Joining is as simple as filling out a short form, paying a
small due amount to help keep
the organization running, and attending meetings once a month. The Friends are
always looking for fresh ideas
to raise funds to buy books and other things necessary to the Library.
Come by the Library to pick up your form
today. Dues are $5 a year for an individual, $8 for a family, and $10
